In a past blog post I mentioned the Sock Guy beer socks, well I just found the Sock Guy kegger socks. I think these funny socks share the same tone as the beer socks, but the beer keg socks seem to call to the college student in me. (How long can you keg stand?) What's The Difference Between ASICS 2100 Series Socks?

I saw that ASICS is putting out two different types of their ASICS 2100 series socks. When I saw that, the first thing I thought is what's the difference? After checking them out, I think the name says it all: only the cuff is different. Both socks have a mesh ventilation panel on the top of the sock reminiscent of the Balega Enduro socks. Both running socks also have a knit toe and the fabric is exactly the same on both socks - it's slightly heavier so maybe good for a colder day. The one difference between the socks is the cuff. The 2100 quarter socks have a slightly higher cuff which is even all around. However, the 2100 low cut socks feature a low-cut cuff which raises at the front and the back to reduce wear on your skin against your running shoes. Personally, I like the quarter socks better, but what do you think?

In honor of my upcoming vacation to Ocean City, MD, today I want to talk about the Vincere Sand Socks. These socks are some nice beach socks! I just checked them out and there is a neoprene sole which wraps around the back of the heal as well as the top of the toes so that you don't have to worry about scorching sand or stepping on a stick or shell poking out of the sand. The top of the sock and the cuff are made out of lycra so that you're feet can breathe and at the same time you don't get sand in your socks. I've blogged about Kapea socks before, but I just came across a nice review for the Kaepa Knee High volleyball sock that I thought any volleyball player would appreciate. Today, I've got to head back to my favorite pair of running socks, the Balega Enduro running socks. I've said it before, but these are about the best quarter socks that I have ever used. They're made of polyester, nylon and elastane to give a really comfortable and snug fit which doesn't allow the sock to bunch up or move when you're running so you can totally avoid painful blisters. Even though this blog is about socks of all kinds, my true passion is for comfortable running socks. It doesn't matter if you buy the best running shoes in the world, you really need a good pair of socks to go with them! I've already mentioned in a previous sock blog posting that my favorite running socks of all time are the Balega Enduro socks, but they're certainly not the only pair I own.

I've blogged about the low cut ASICS Kayano socks that I own, but ASICS manufactures an entire line of Kayano running socks that are worth a look. The wool Kayano running socks are great for those, like myself, who live in a colder area of the country. Or, just try out the newer ASICS Kayano II quarter socks.

I've been running for several years and I've managed to wear dozens of different kinds of running socks. I like to compete in races ranging from as short as 5K to as much as my first half marathon and I love Balega Enduro running socks!
